Memery Crystal has appointed Steve Clinning and Laura Brown as new Partners in its Banking & Finance team, significantly bolstering its experience and capabilities in real estate finance.
Steve and Laura have a strong track record of working together, having been part of the Banking and Real Estate Finance team at Howard Kennedy for several years.
Steve has over 20 years of experience and had previously held senior leadership positions including Head of Banking & Real Estate Finance at Howard Kennedy. He advises both borrowers and lenders on a range of transactions and has established long-term partnerships with several high-volume lending clients. Prior to being a solicitor, he worked for 12 years in various banks and financial institutions.
Laura has more than 11 years of experience working as a finance lawyer, specialising in real estate finance. She advises leading lenders on senior and mezzanine financing, covering commercial and residential property development and investment, refinancing and property portfolio financing transactions.
Steve and Laura have worked on several high-profile transactions together, such as advising Octopus on the funding for the acquisition and clearance of This is Gravity, a site in Somerset, which will become a gigafactory for Land Rover and Tata.
