Memery Crystal, the multi-disciplinary London-based law firm, has appointed Nick Heap as Partner in its Capital Markets and Corporate team. Nick joins with an impressive background in equity capital markets and a wealth of experience in a variety of corporate finance transactions, further reinforcing the firm’s capabilities in these areas.
Nick specialises in equity capital markets transactions, providing comprehensive guidance on a range of corporate finance matters, including Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), secondary fundraisings, corporate reorganisations, public and private M&A, as well as Takeover Code offers and defences. His particular areas of expertise include the natural resources, life sciences and healthcare, and technology sectors.
Nick has more than 20 years of industry experience in equity capital markets law and joins the firm from Armstrong Teasdale, where he was also a Partner. His recent accomplishments include advising on significant transactions such as Tungsten West PLC’s IPO on AIM and associated £39m fundraising, a secondary fundraising for AIM-listed company Anglesey Mining PLC, Altona Rare Earths PLC’s move from AQUIS Growth Market to the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, as well as many other notable deals in the equity capital markets.
Nick’s appointment follows Memery Crystal’s recent addition of Edward Baker as Partner in its Corporate Team. Edward joined from Simmons & Simmons in September, boosting the firm’s offerings in both private and public mergers and acquisitions (M&A), equity capital markets and advisory.
